Farrah Ejaz is one of our most recent graduates. Her story is truly one for the books. It is rather unfortunate that after marriage, most women in Pakistan are not able to continue their careers. Farrah broke that cycle by joining our Tech Apprenticeship Program not only as a housewife but also as a new mother. Her hard work, determination, and courage inspire us all.
Belonging to Sargodha, she completed her Economics Masters in 2019 from the University of Sargodha. In search of a new aspiration, she learned about IEC through her brother-in-law and successfully joined our program in July 2022. With zero to no experience in data analytics, she faced many challenges due to her lack of knowledge, but she never quit her tasks and acquired the practical knowledge to develop herself in the tech industry.
In the words of Farrah herself, “When I started the course, I didn’t know even a bit about data analytics. With the guidelines of my instructors and research from Google and YouTube, I completed my 1st assignment about SQL queries. Being a housewife and a new mother, it seemed too difficult for me to complete my course on time, but with the love and support of my husband, I made it possible for me.
I experienced hardships during my second capstone project because my father-in-law was hospitalized. I was stuck with many household chores. It was a very hard time for all of us, but I couldn’t quit. I kept working on my project and successfully graduated from cohort 4. “
Currently, she has started her professional journey as a Data Analytics and Business Science intern at The Sparks Foundation. We believe that Farrah will continue to obtain many wonderful opportunities in the future.
She is a digital marketing and content writing expert with over 5 years of experience, dedicated to driving impactful results and crafting innovative strategies. As the Acquisition Lead at IEC, she oversees the application process, ensuring a seamless experience for aspiring students.
